Confucius Institute Kinoclub was created to improve the listening skills of CI listeners by watching Chinese movies. Club members will be engaged not only in watching movies, but also they will discuss, express their opinion and write composition on a definite movie. It enables the listeners to feel more about China and get a better understanding of its construction and development, social civilization and progress in many ways, and to learn Chinese language, experience Chinese culture.
Cinema is a modern product of our civilization. The first Chinese cinema, “Conquering Jun Mountain”, was produced in 1905. Since then thousands of films have been made with different themes, plots, and styles. Everybody knows that “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” movie won an Oscar for the best foreign language film in 2002.
